Alpine and Rock Garden Plants

The Rock Garden.

Rock Garden The rock garden was built in 2000. It is about 5 feet wide and about 30 feet long. It is raised with two runs of 6-inch by 6-inch timbers. At the near end of the rock garden, Kniphofia northiae is blooming.
Rock Garden Another view. There were at this time (May 2002) very few plants growing in the rock garden.
The Rock Garden in late summer September 2002). More plants have been put in, but only the Delosperma cooperi is blooming, and sparsely at that.
