Hippeastrum papilio, the "butterfly amaryllis," is native to Brazil. This is the first bloom on a seedling from seed distributed in 1998 by the I.B.S. BX. | |
This bulb was purchased as "aulicum X self" but it clearly is not that. It looks like it might have some Hippeastrum neopardinum in it. |
