BAROQUE MAESTRO§ (Jim Shields, 2003), seedling # 1024T14. Tet, SE, M, Ht. 26 in., flower 5 ½ in. diameter, petals 3 in., sepals 2 in. The pale yellow flower would be 8 inches across if it didn't recurve so strongly. The petals are edges in strong, gold-dusted ruffles while the petals have a slight blush of pink. 1 branch (top), 10 buds. Parentage is (CHANCE ENCOUNTER X BYZANTIUM). Withdrawn for 2003.

CHESTNUTS ROASTING§ (Irma Shields, 2003), seedling # 966T12. Tet., SE, M, Ht. 27 in., flower 4 ¾ in. diameter, petals 2 ¾ in., sepals 1 ¾ in.
Two flowers in one. In the morning, this is a nice black-red daylily with a velvet black eye and a hint of dark red at the edges. However, after a few hours in the sun, this flower shows a different face as it changes to a dark brown red with pronounced veining and a black eye. The petals fade to a touch of fire at the softly ruffled edges. 1 to 2 branches, 17 buds. Parentage is (MAHOGANY MAGIC X BELLE NOIRE). Withdrawn for 2003.

FLAMBOYANT FLAMINGO§ (Randy Strother, 2003), seedling # 1047T02.Tet, SE, M, Ht. 28 in., flower 6 in. diameter, petals 2 ¾ in., sepals 2 1/8 in.
This large pink flower has darker veins over lighter pink petals with a medium pink eye above the yellow throat, where the veins are orange. The sepals are a peach pink with softly ruffled edges. Parentage is (HURRICAN EYE X SEMINOLE WIND). Withdrawn for 2003.

"SHADOAN HOT SAUCE"§ (Randy Strother, 2003), seedling # R10T01. Tet., SE, M, Ht. 32 in., flower 5 ½ in. diameter, petals 2 7/8 in., sepals 1 ¾ in. This large, triangular is so hot that you just might get burned if you get too close. The vivid red-orange flower has a gold center coming out of a deep green throat. White hot edge comes about an inch up the petal from the center then turns into soft red ruffles. 1 or 2 branches, 10 to 16 buds. Withdrawn for 2003.

SHADOAN EYE OPENER§ (Andrea Strother, 2003), seedling # 1074D03. Tet., SE, M, Ht. 31 in., flower 5 ¼ in. diameter, petals Pink flower with a purple eye fading into a large yellow throat. The petals are finely edged with gold at the tips. 1 branch (top), 10 to 13 buds. Parentage is [(SPODE x HURRICANE EYE) X LAVENDER RAINBOW]. Withdrawn for 2003.

WESTFIELD ARTISTS LIFE§ (Jim Shields, 2003), seedling # 1031T09.
Tet, SE, M, Ht. 34 in., flower 5 ½ in. diameter, petals 2 ½ in., sepals 1 5/8 in. The creamy pale pink flower has a captivating purple band that appears to have been softly brushed out onto the petals and just a hint of it peeking out on the sepals. The same shade of purple extends up from the band along the finely ruffled border, where a delicate gold wire line appears to have been painted on with a fine brush at the very edge. 4 branches, 23 to 33 buds. Parentage is (WESTFIELD BONNIE LADDIE X CREATIVE EDGE). Withdrawn for 2003.

WESTFIELD FIRE ALARM§ (Jim Shields, 2003), seedling # 843T01. Tet, Dor, M, Ht. 40 in., flower 5 ¾ in. diameter, petals 3 in., sepals 1 ¾ in. This flower is on fire with a hot yellow-orange throat expanding onto red-orange with dark veins licking up the flower and burning to soft dark red petals and sepals. Ruffles line the edges of petals. 1 branch (top), 10 buds. Parentage is {(259T05 x WESTFIELD FIESTA) X [(BAROQUE LADY x 309T01) x (991T16 x 301T15)]}. Withdrawn for 2003.

WESTFIELD VIOLET VISION§ (Jim Shields, 2003) Seedling # 799T01. Tet., SE, M, Ht. 30 in., flower 5 ½ in. diameter, petals 2 ½ in., sepals 1 ¾ in. The sun has gone down but the air is still warm after a long summer day. This war, purple flower has a hint of the coming night in its dark eye, faint veining, and soft ruffles. 2 branches, 15 to 20 buds. {[(WESTFIELD WINE x WESTFIELD DARK SHADOWS) x BAROQUE PASSION] X STILL NIGHT}. HOOSIER AUGUST FLAME§ (Jim Shields, 2003), seedling # 827D01.
Dip., SE, VLa, Ht. 26 in., flower 4 ¾ in. diameter, petals 2 in., sepals 1 ½ in., bitone. A small burnt-orange petals with a gold center over light orange sepals. This flower is so hot that the petals curl in slightly at their ruffled edges. There is a hint of burnt red at the of the petal tips. The gold from the throat streaks up the petals along the midribs. 1 branch, 9 buds. Withdrawn for 2003.

SHADOAN BABY GIRL§ (Andrea Strother, 2003), seedling # 1042D08. Dip., Dor., M, Ht. 28 in., flower 4 ½ in. diameter, petals 2 in., sepals 1 ½ in., bicolor. The petals are a delicate light purple with dark veins and cream midrib and border. Green throat. The softly ruffled petals overlap over the sepals, which are cream with a lavender blush. Parentage is [(INDIAN GIVER x BARBARA MITCHELL) X (WENDY GLAWSON x APPLE ANNIE)]. Withdrawn for 2003.

SHADOAN WILD CHILD§ (Andrea Strother, 2003), seedling # 766D15. Dip., SE, M, Ht. 29 in., flower 6 in. diameter, petals 2 in., sepals 1 ¼ in. The ivory flower has a deep green throat that changed to yellow as it moves up along a strong midrib, then fades into a creamy ivory. The sepals twist and recurve randomly. Both petals and sepals have softly ruffled edges. 1 branch (top), 8 buds. Parentage is (INDIAN GIVER X BARBARA MITCHELL). Withdrawn for 2003.
